This was a neat little link addition to provide additional office space that filled in a 20′ wide alley between the existing office and manufacturing buildings. Since the roof pitches were perpendicular and the side walls were of differing heights no greater than 10′, a simple shed extension would not work. The infill structure assumed a character all it’s own, similar to the CEO’s house (featured elsewhere on this website) with the more steeply pitched roof rising above the existing walls which were capped with multi-gutters to conduct drainage to the back wall opposite this elevation. The entry features an open ceiling only briefly before dropping down to a conventional suspended ceiling with a couple of rows of fluorescent light fixtures that can be seen through the front windows. The opposite end of this office corridor features a very nice private office with patio doors opening to a porch and deck, which is just about as fine as the coveted corner office in many office buildings.
