Hand painted metal panel with applied graphics

You’re not likely to find this one in a store.  My favorite uncollectible Ford Thunderbird – the four-door model with Continental-inspired center opening doors, referred to by many as “suicide doors).  The car was the only sedan in the late 60s personal luxury category of gimmick cars that featured all the design fads of the day.  The T-Bird sported hidden headlights in front and full-width tail lights across the rear.  The rear passenger doors cut in to part of the roof, which was camouflaged by the traditional T-Bird ‘S’ bar which recalled the exposed hardware for retractable roof canopies from Model T days.  This once rusty 18 x 36 panel still shows a crease and some holes for added character.  Computer cut vinyl graphics were applied after the painting was finished.
