Another sunset view, this time of the city park with our city hall in the distance. Each Christmas season, the park is illuminated with wire sculptures bearing twinkling lights. My favorite is this banner held up by angels proclaiming the message of the angels to the shepherds on the hillside at that first Christmas. The lighting effect was accomplished by small dots of masking fluid that were rubbed away when the painting was complete. Where the masking was not entirely effective, a secondary drop of correction fluid was added to brighten the appearance of the twinkling lights.
