This is a scanned photo from 25+ years ago from the scrapbook. The image was created from a business card sized coupon that was provided to me. My two most challenging objects to paint back in those days were the McDonald’s twin arches and the old crown logo for Best Western properties. Both had curves and tapers that took many trips back to the ground to see if they were “just right.” With the exception of the occasional wall mural, these days are about gone. Funny thing though, the digitally printed vinyl sheets that are pulled over the billboard panels like slip covers haven’t proved to be as durable as the hand painted projects, but offer more graphic versatility and realism while they last.
